Fourth suspect arrested in Jones county arson and fraud case

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - This is a press release from the Jones County Sheriff's department.

On May 10, 2016, Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies escorted Samuel Taylor to 210 Bush Road for him to pick up a vehicle. When they arrived, Kristen Leana Jones, 32 of Ellisvlle, came from a shed, met them outside, and pulled a gun on Taylor. Deputies immediately took control of the scene and took Jones into custody for Simple Assault.

While the investigation has continued in the Arson and Fraud case involving Taylor, Justin Taylor and Lisa Thornton, Jones County Investigator, Sgt. Scott Gable became aware that Jones admitted to dropping off Samuel the morning of January 9, 2016 at 210 Bush Road residence with full knowledge that he was going to set a fire to destroy the property.

Jones is charged with Simple Assault, Fraud and Arson. Her initial appearance at Jones County Justice Court is scheduled for May 11, 2016 at 1:30pm.
