The Golden Eagles are ready for their last regular season home series

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team is gearing up for their last home series of the season against La-Tech and both the players and coaches are anxious for the weekend to get started.

Head coach, Scott Berry said, "Their numbers are really good and obviously their record is, so everything indicates that they're a very good quality ball club."

Outfielder, Jake Sandlin said, "This is a legitimate home field advantage and you want to protect your house if you want to host a regional. That's the kind of stuff you got to do. Take care of the teams you're supposed to take care of."

"My goal always was to never have a Senior Day, but I imagine that's going to be pretty special at this place right here and with the crowd that comes out and supports us, you always want to put on a good show, said Sandlin."

The Golden Eagles will take on La-Tech Friday at 6 p.m.
