USM Children's Center celebrates graduation with Hattiesburg Zoo

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Zoomobile visited USM's Children's Center for Communication and Development to celebrate its new graduates of the program.

The partnership included an on-site learning adventure for all center children and their families.

Communication Coordinator, Samantha McCain said the children go through several units throughout the year as they learn about different topics, such as animals.

"This year we decided to bring in the Hattiesburg Zoo and let them not only take in what they have learned in the classroom, but also see it in real life, so it is a real good opportunity for the children" said McCain.

The Center's mission is to build a legacy of excellence for children with disabilities through creative services and innovative research.
