Sumrall police department rules woman's death homicide

SUMRALL, Miss. - The Sumrall Police department ruled Kim Raynes, 44, death a homicide Thursday.

Raynes was found dead Wednesday evening in her drive way by her neighbor.

The state examiner said Raynes cause of death was from a single gun shot wound.

Police Chief, Chris Dungan said the department is working with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the 15th Judicial District office.

Chief Dungan said, "The community should not be alarmed."

The toxicology reports are still pending.
