Golden Eagles are happy to get a rest, but anxious to get back it

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Golden Eagles are showing off some swag in this year's Conference USA Baseball Tournament.

Southern Miss absolutely destroyed Old Dominion, 17-5 on Wednesday. They also had their way with Marshall Thursday night, as they defeated the Thundering Herd, 9-3.

The Golden Eagles had the day off Friday and are anxious to get back at it.

Catcher, Chuckie Robinson said, "It's huge for the whole team. We get off our feet and maybe catch a game or two. But just stay off our feet, get some rest and get ready for Saturday."

"We're not too high, not too low. We know what we have ahead of us. We're just taking it one game at a time. We're confident and we're going to keep this momentum going, said Robinson."

The Golden Eagles are scheduled to play on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
