Southern Miss Baseball to hold NCAA Selection Show Watch Party at Mugshots Grill and Bar


Hattiesburg, Miss. – Southern Miss, the 2016 Conference USA Baseball Tournament champions, are set to hold an NCAA Selection Show Watch Party, Monday, May 30, at Mugshots Grill and Bar in Hattiesburg (204 N. 40th Ave.).

The event, which is free of charge, begins at 10:30 a.m., and open to the general public. All fans are encouraged to attend to see where the Golden Eagle baseball team will be placed in the NCAA Tournament. The entire baseball team, coaches, and athletic department staff will be in attendance for this event. Mugshots will have food and drinks available for purchase for all fans in attendance.

The 2016 NCAA Baseball Selection Show airs starting at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.

The top 8 national seeds and 64 regional teams will be unveiled at that time. The NCAA baseball regionals begin June 3, leading up to the Super Regionals, June 10-13, and the 2016 College World Series will take place June 18-28/29.

The Golden Eagles, 40-18, earned automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament by beating Rice 3-2 at Pete Taylor Park Sunday. It was the school’s first C-USA Tournament championship since 2010 and third overall.
