Laurel man gets arrested for his third domestic assault charge

LAUREL, Miss. - Laurel Police said they arrested a familiar person on Saturday for another domestic assault charge.

Police said this is Rodregis Pruitt's third domestic assault charge.

Laurel Police Officer, Cpt. Tommy Cox said, "Initial complaint was back on May 8 when we took the assault complaint in because of the nature of his relationship with the victim and the fact that he had been convicted on at least two occasions of the same charge, which will make it a felony charge this particular offense. And then on then on the 28th, we located him up on West 20th Street and took him into custody."

Police said Pruitt's bond is set for $30,000.
