Home Depot hosts hurricane preparedness seminar
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hurricane season started June 1st and the Hattiesburg Home Depot teamed up with local organizations, agencies, and businesses to raise awareness on severe hurricanes.
The outdoor seminar is available this Saturday for the general public. The goal is for the community to learn facts and tips about hurricanes.
Home Depot Representative, Seth Welsh said, "Well you are at risk of property damage and damage to yourself."
The seminar has tips from hurricane insurance, emergency management, to animal safety. Welsh said staying informative is one of the most important things to do during any category of hurricane.
Welsh added, "Hurricanes can be a traumatic event, and after Katrina people are taking a lot more things seriously these days."
The seminar is available Saturday starting at 8 a.m on Hardy street at the Home Depot parking lot.
