Irby receives Golden Glove Award

ELLISVILLE, Miss. - Jones County Junior College’s Mason Irby continues to receive national recognition.

On Tuesday, Irby received the ABCA/Rawlings Golden Glove Award. Irby, the starting rightfielder for the NJCAA Division II national champion Bobcats, had a 1.000 fielding percentage with 92 putouts and five assists.

Last week, the Southeast Lauderdale High School graduate was named an NJCAA first-team All-American. He was named an NJCAA second-team All-American in 2015.

Irby, who helped the Bobcats to a school-record 54-9 mark this past season, has signed with the University of Southern Mississippi.

JCJC’s Tyler Graves and Josh Pankratz were Gold Glove winners in 2014.
