Two burglars caught after providing false claims

JASPER COUNTY, Miss. - Jasper County Sheriff's Department received a phone call Saturday from a concerned family member outside a house that she suspected was suspicious activity.

Investigators arrived and caught the suspects, but the suspects tried to play a little trick.

Jasper County Sheriff, Randy Johnson said, "An investigator came to the scene and when they talked to the family member and to the people that were discovered at the house, some items belonged to the family member were discovered in the vehicle."

“Both individuals supplied us with false information and we got them here to see who they were. And once the finger prints were ran and came back, their true identity was given to us. The male subject is Gregory Shows and the female is Barbara Daley, said Johnson ."

Johnson said both Shows and Daley are also wanted in other counties. Their Jasper County bond is set to $60,000 each.
