HPD nabs three suspects for the murder of one local man outside of Mugshots
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Three people have been arrested for the murder of one local man.
Police said they responded to a call Sunday afternoon about a man being unresponsive in a vehicle outside of Mughshots Grill & Bar and that is where they found Corey Husband, 20.
Hattiesburg Police Officer, Lt. Jon Traxler said "When officers and fire and EMS arrived, of course we did find the victim. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. There was nobody else around the vehicle and the investigation started at that point."
Traxler said Husband and three other men pulled into the mugshots parking lot for a possible drug deal.
"The incident occurred inside the vehicle. Not at any time was any of the people inside of Mugshots. Mugshots didn't even know it happened until we arrived," said Traxler.
Police have charged James Windham and Demethius Dixon with murder and conspiracy to commit a felony. Police have also charged Chadrick Dixon for hindering prosecution.
The investigation is ongoing.
