JONES COUNTY, Miss. - One Hattiesburg man is now behind bars at the Jones County Sherriff’s Department.

Jones County Sheriff's deputies said they responded to a call Monday about a missing 14-year-old girl at a residence in South Jones County.

The teenager's guardian said she got into a silver car with black rims. Witnesses did not have a good description of the driver.

The juvenile's family told deputies that they identified the driver by going through the teen's Facebook account.

The suspect was Christopher Wright, 29.

Deputies went to Wright's job to verify his identity and car, and both were a match.

A Jones County Sheriff's investigator called Wright and asked if he had possession of a missing girl. Wright admitted that he did have the girl with him at his home in Lamar County.

But Lamar County officials did not find the girl at the address Wright had given.

Wright later contacted the investigator and asked where he should take the girl. The investigator told him to bring the girl to the Jones County Sheriff's Department and Wright cooperated and brought her there.

Wright told deputies that he did take her from the residence and brought her back to his place, where she spent the night.

Wright was arrested and is charged with kidnapping.
