Public assistance helps LPD capture suspect

LAUREL, Miss. - One man is now behind bars after an extensive search from the Laurel Police Department.

Laurel police said they arrested Ramondo McCarty, 27, for attempted aggravated assault that stems back from a June 25 report of shots being fired at a car in the Johnson Circle Area.

No one was hurt.

Laurel Police want to thank the public for their assistance.
