Tips to stay safe, armed robbery situations

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hub City recently has had various reports of armed robberies.

Because of that, some people need to be aware on what they can do in those types of situations.

Hattiesburg Police Officer, Lt. Jon Traxler said, "Of course if you're in a situation where somebody does approach you or something, of course, be safe. That's our main concern. Get as much information as you can. Call us as soon as you can call us and give us the description, where they're headed, things like that."

"If you're at a business or something and you have video cameras, make sure they're working. That's the kind of stuff we need to be able to help us with the investigation," said Traxler.
