3 behind bars after armed robbery in Hub-City

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Three men are behind bars after an armed robbery Wednesday night. The incident occurred at the Bypass Package Store on Old Highway 42 around 9 p.m.
Lt. Jon Traxler with the Hattiesburg Police Department said, "Upon arrival they were advised two black males entered the store and displayed a handgun and demanded money and then fled on foot. The suspects then got into the vehicle and left the scene towards Glendale."
Authorities said a witness spotted the vehicle and was able to describe it to authorities.
The vehicle was spotted by the Jones County Sheriff's Department on Interstate 59 around the 89 mile marker.
"JSCO stopped the vehicle" said Lt. Traxler.
Donterius Bownes, Devonte Dixon, and Demartez West went into custody without incident and all three were charged with armed robbery said Lt. Traxler.
He added, "West is charged with Criminal Street Gang Activity."
The investigation is still ongoing.
