Local corrections officer, contraband investigation

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. - One Forrest County Regional Jail correctional officer is being investigated after an incident that happened Saturday.
Investigator, Nick Calico said, "A correctional officer had attempted to bring in contraband into the correction facility and at that point, the contraband was confiscated."
Jonathon Gray, 34, was sent home Saturday, and the department was notified Monday morning about what happened.
Calico said "and the correctional officer was brought in and charged with bringing contraband into the facility this morning."
Calico could not comment on what type of contraband Gray had or whether Gray will be back to work at the jail.
Calico said they've had similar issues like this happen in the past, but not very often.
Gray’s bond is set for $2,500.
