LPD, Jones Co. Sheriff's Dept received a special thank you

LAUREL, Miss. - Members of the Patriot Riders stopped by the Laurel Police Department Saturday morning.

The Patriot Riders wanted to give a special thank you to the Laurel Police Department and the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.

Patriot Riders also provided a free lunch sponsored by Dickey's Barbecue and a prayer to both departments.

Laurel Chief of Police, Tyrone Stewart said, "The support in Jones County and Laurel for our law enforcement has been unbelievable and lord knows we need it at a time like this, and we always need that support. Because at the end of the day, we want everybody to go home safe. All lives matter. All lives matter!"

Lt. Jim Thornhill, Laurel Police patrol shift commander said, "It's a real neat surprise, but Patriot Riders have been in the news a lot lately. They've been at some of the Trump rallies, the incident in Dallas, Texas. They're very pro-law enforcement. They're very pro-military, and they don't mind standing-up for what's right."

Patriot Rider, Mike Clark said they love to help people and they almost cancelled the event to go help victims in Louisiana from the flooding.
