Sportsman's Banquet, Hank Parker

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. - The tenth annual “Sportsman's Banquet” attracted hundreds of people Saturday.

Folks at Calvary Baptist Church put this event on every year for a chance to help connect with outdoor lovers in the Pine Belt community.

Committee member, Kyle Turner said, "We kind of state it as an outreach because they claim if you get men involved in church, about 95 percent of the time you get the family. Even though we give away hunting and fishing type gear, the primary goal is to let people hear the gospel and share the love of Jesus with the community."

Hank Parker, keynote speaker and TV personality said, "There's one hope and that hope is through Jesus Christ and to be able to share that and to tell what he has done in my life is a great opportunity and far more important than anything that I do."

Parker will be going to Colorado, Utah for a fishing trip and will start filming for his “Outdoor Magazine” television show.
