Two men shot, Bonhomie Apartments

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg Police responded to a shooting incident late Tuesday afternoon at Bonhomie Apartments on Country Club Road.

Hattiesburg Police Officer, Lt. Jon Traxler said, "Upon officers arrival, they were able to find a crime scene, but no victims."

Police said two people were shot.

"Through the investigation, it was learned that the two victims had actually been driven to the hospital by private vehicles,” said Traxler.

Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A few residents who live in the apartment complex said they did not see or hear the shooting, but are concerned with the gun violence.

"We're still trying to determine everything that went on and who actually got shot by whom, so that we can actually charge somebody at that time. We do know that this is a domestic-related situation. The people did know each other. We do have two male victims. So right now we're just trying to see if there's anybody out there who may have more information,” said Traxler.

Traxler said one of the victims has been released from the hospital so far.
