Hattiesburg police investigating auto-burglaries
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department is investigating several auto-burglaries taking place within the Hub-City limits.
Lieutenant (Lt.) Jon Traxler said the department is looking into several leads. This past weekend their were 6 auto-burglaries reported at the following locations:
- 300 block Camp Street
- 22 Campbell Scenic Drive
- 2600 Block of Oak Grove Road
- 2501 W. 7th Street
- 200 Block E 3rd Street
- 100 Block Millpond Drive
Lt. Traxler said, "Alright we have schools back more people here and everything and we just want to remind everybody to protect themselves against auto-burglaries."
"Number 1 lock your door, do not rely on your key, always check your door handle" said Lt. Traxler.
He added, "We recommend that you do not leave things in your vehicle."
