HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The homicide that occurred last weekend to Ann Georgian, 63, near Fourth Davis and Maime Street, have left some people concerned about their safety.
The Hattiesburg Police Department wanted to reach out to the concerned citizens.
Hattiesburg Police Officer, Lt. Jon Traxler said, "We wanted the public that lives over there and throughout the city to one, know that we are doing everything we can to try and locate the suspect or suspects that may be involved in this. We are following up leads. We appreciate all the calls that are coming into Crime Stoppers and directly to us."
"We don't want the public to be in fear and feel like they need to live in fear. We don't want that. We don't have a city like that, so we want to reassure everyone that the city is safe. We have had this situation happen and we are doing everything we can to locate the people that are involved in it," said Traxler.
