JCJC's Stubbington named Offensive Player of the Week

ELLISVILLE, Miss. - Jones County Junior College’s Kelly Stubbington has been named the MACJC

Offensive Player of the Week.

Stubbington (London, England), a sophomore forward, scored five goals as JCJC went 2-0 last week.

She scored three times in JCJC’s 5-0 victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast and she had two goals in a 3-0 win over Meridian.

Stubbington leads the MACJC/Region 23 and ranks seventh in NJCAA Division I in scoring with 24 points – 10 goals and four assists. She was named a third-team NJCAA All-American as a freshman.

The Lady Bobcats, 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the MACJC South Division, host Copiah-Lincoln at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and travel to Pearl River on Friday.
