Conference play ready, Southern Miss football

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Some Southern Miss fans are still probably upset about the loss against Troy.

But, conference play begins for the Golden Eagles this week and Coach Jay Hopson is ready for it.

"One thing about it is you got to get over a loss. That's the reality of football. But you got to learn from it, that's what we got to do. You can't turn the ball over and win games, and that's the reality of football," said Hopson.

"We have one non-conference game left. But really from here on out, it's basically a conference schedule. So understand all your goals, everything goes through your conference, so we got to be ready. This is to a degree the start of a new season," said Hopson.
