Car chase turns into car wreck, suspect arrested

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A car chase happened Thursday morning.

Hattiesburg Police said around 9 a.m., they found a vehicle that was reportedly stolen on Wednesday.

Officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, but suspect, William Geatreaux drove past the police. Geatreaux headed towards Petal and was involved in a car crash.

Police then arrested him.

All the people who were involved in the crash did not suffer any injuries.

Geatreaux was also wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
