Coach Hopson says UTSA is a quality opponent, despite their record

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss broke several records in their 44-28 win against Rice.

The Golden Eagles are facing the UTSA Road Runners this week.

The Road Runners are on a three-game losing streak, but that doesn't concern head coach, Jay Hopson at all.

"You look at Arizona State, Colorado State, those games they could've won. Opened up at home with a W and then could've won at Old Dominion, you know that was a hard-fought game. So the reality is we know we have a real good football team that we have to prepare for, a talented football team. You know you're in conference play, each and every week, you got to be ready to play," said Hopson.

Southern Miss will play their game at UTSA Saturday.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
