Laurel church selling pumpkins for youth ministry

LAUREL, Miss. - The First United Methodist Church (FUMC) on 5th Avenue in Laurel is selling pumpkins to raise money for its Youth Ministry Program.

All proceeds will go towards its program. The money will be used to help the kids during outreach, mission, and all activities that involve the youth.

FUMC's Student Life Director Walter Robert said, "It's important to have the community participate because when kids come here we want to be able to give them an awesome experience and we cannot do that without any funds.

The pumpkins range from different sizes and start from 50 cents.

The church will sell pumpkins till October 19 between the hours of 10 am - 6 pm everyday.
