HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg ARC center will host its 12th Annual Gold Ball Drop and Tournament Nov 7.
The center will sell 1,000 golf balls this year for $100 a piece. A helicopter will fly over the Canebrake Golf Course and drop all 1,000 balls.
All proceeds will go towards the ARC's mission in serving those with disabilities.
Board President Sandy Wright said, "Most of our children, and adults that are involved are not able to go to a regular day care and they need to come to the ARC because we do provide nursing care for some of our respites for some the medically fragile children."
"It's just like I said an opportunity that is not offered anywhere else that I am aware of" added Wright.
The ball that will make the hole or the closest to it will win $20,000.
You can call the ARC at (601) 583-4251 to donate.
