Southern Miss football feeling refreshed, ready for Marshall

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team is feeling refreshed after coming off a bye week.

The team has put that tough loss from LSU behind them and are focusing up for Marshall this week.

Offensive coordinator, Shannon Dawson said, “Hopefully we're starting to mesh together then play ball. That's where you want it to get to where you're not over-thinking things, just get out there and play, have fun you know? I think in our off-week, I think you saw that on both sides. Everybody was just relaxed out there playing ball. If we can ever get to that mindset on Saturday, that's what you strive for, where you just play ball. If you mess up, guess what just play the next play."

"That's all we know is to play hard all four quarters. For us, it's just we can't settle for anything less than that," said linebacker, Darian Yancey.

Southern Miss will play Marshall Saturday for its homecoming game at 6 p.m.
