Southern Miss, Homecoming plans

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - It is Homecoming week for Southern Miss.

The big game against Marshall is not the only thing the university has planned for Saturday.

Senior associate athletic director, Brent Jones said, "We have Mississippi Youth Football Day. We also have Tatum Park Day. We have the Homecoming Parade at 11 a.m. We also have tons and tons of different things. We're expecting about a 1,000 kids at our pre-game Halloween Carnival that's free of charge at 2 p.m. at Pride Field. It's going to be an awesome experience. At halftime, it's going to be a special deal where we have the Homecoming Court and the king and queen, and Mr. USM be presented, Dixie Darlings alum."

"Everybody talks about Homecoming is the best day of the fall and I think our fans are really excited about the game as well as our team," said Jones.

Kickoff will be at 6 p.m.
