Southern Miss loses to Charlotte, 38-27

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Golden Eagles suffered a 38-27 loss to the Charlotte 49ers Saturday.

Southern Miss had a 14-7 lead in the first half, but could not find rhythm.

"Had some turnovers in critical situations. We dropped some balls again. But, it's one of those deals where we got to start hauling it in. Certainly, we had a little adversity in the third. We loss both our quarterbacks in the fourth," said head coach, Jay Hopson.

"We got to throw this one behind us. It's not a good feeling anytime you lose. You're not happy about it. But, if we're a good team, we'll get rid of it and move on and get ready for the next one. That's the reality of this grind through November," said Hopson.

Southern Miss will travel to Norfolk, VA Saturday to take on Old Dominion and try to get back to form.
