Jones Co. man arrested for malicious mischief

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - Jones County deputies said they were dispatched to Ovett Moselle Road about a disturbance.

Deputies said Jose Rodriguez, 26, was in the passenger seat while his wife was driving the car.

The couple were arguing.

He grabbed the steering wheel and caused the vehicle to go off the road and nearly crashed into a tree.

Rodriguez and his wife got out of the vehicle, and he took out the car battery and busted the windows and the tail light.

Deputies arrested Rodriguez and he is charged with felony malicious mischief.

His bond is set at $5,000.
