Game of the Week: Bay Springs vs. Bassfield

BAY SPRINGS, Miss. - Bay Springs has enjoyed an impressive 11-3 record so far this season.
But, the team is ready for a South State matchup against Bassfield for the second year in a row.
Head coach, Dan Brady said, "The mistakes we made last year against them, we don't need to make those again. We had some errors in the kicking game. We had some errors on offense and defense. Learn from those mistakes. Take it as a new challenge."
The Bay Springs Bulldogs want to do everything in their power to get revenge this year after suffering a 43-28 loss last year.
Running back, Jaylin Jones said, "We're just going to have to play hard and I'm going to have to push them every play of the game."
"We all been working hard this summer trying to get bigger, trying to get faster so we can get back to Bassfield. And I just hope we can get the win this year," said quarterback, Caderius Lee.
If the Bulldogs beat the Yellowjackets, it would be something the Bay Springs community would remember for a long time.
"We feel like we're on the right track right now and I think it would just get us over the top, just with an opportunity to play for a state championship. It would be big for the community. We've seen great community support," said Brady.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Bassfield.
