|This is a press release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department
JONES COUNTY, Miss. - During the first part of August 2016, Richard Bullock, 51 of Seminary, approached Paul Byrd, David Culpepper and Marshall Yates, Jr. in reference to selling a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. They owned a business that specialized in restoration and re-selling of antique muscle cars. Bullock told them that the car had belonged to an elderly man who had plans of restoring it, but had passed away. Bullock went on to tell them he was in the process of securing a clear title for the car.
Investigators discovered this vehicle had been stolen from the area. It was being held at the home of Jonathan Morgan. Morgan was arrested and admitted to taking the vehicle, saying he had sold it to Bullock, who was aware the vehicle had been stolen.
Bullock was taken into custody and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.
