Southern Pines Animal Shelter, Black Friday adoption deals
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Pines Animal Shelter kicked off its 2nd annual "Home for the Pawlidayz" free adoption event Friday.
This is an event inspired by Black Friday to help bring more pets into people's homes for the holidays.
Shelter director, Ginny Sims said, "The shelter is full of homeless cats and dogs that need a home. Our kennels are overflowing and there are so many pets that make great additions to families. So, we really wanted to give adopters in our community a chance to find their perfect new fury family member just in time for the holidays. By coming out and choosing to adopt a pet, not only are you filling your home of the love of a pet, you're also giving a homeless pet a second chance."
The event will be going on all the way through Cyber Monday.
Sims said her goal is to have 250 adoptions by Monday.
