Tori Bowie speaks about being honored at Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss had a very special alum on campus.

3x Olympic medalist and 2x National Champion, Tori Bowie had her own day at the university Friday.

Bowie said, "I mean it's special. The entire university is taking a day to honor me and it's humbling, I should say. To see things like this is just like miracles. Nothing that I've ever dreamed of. Just reminds me of my stomping grounds, where I come from, and what I've been through. So, it's an amazing feeling."

"I think what I learned more importantly is just going to take even more hard work, and even more dedication, even more determination for the next round," said Bowie.

Bowie said she has her sights on modeling and acting when she's not training for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
