One person behind bars after Hub City drive-by shooting

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - One person is behind bars after a drive-by shooting Saturday.

Hattiesburg Police Department (HPD) Spokesman Lt. Jon Traxler said the incident took place on Eufala Street around 9 a.m.

Brian Rice, 25, was arrested Sunday on the 300 block of E. Scooba Street where he was taken into custody.

"The victim in the shooting was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries" said Lt. Traxler.

Rice is charged with aggravated assault in connection to the shooting.
