Local Baptist church burglarized, police searching for suspect

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A Hattiesburg church, Mt. Galilee Baptist on Whitney street was broken into and Hattiesburg police are searching for a suspect.

According to Hattiesburg Police Department (HPD) Spokesman Lieutenant (Lt.) Jon Traxler a suspect took assorted items from the church's shed on Saturday, Dec. 3 to Monday, Dec. 5.

"The suspect forced open the door to a storage shed" said Lt. Traxler. The department said the case is currently under investigation. If you have any information you can call (601) 544-7900.
