JCJC's FCA gives local kids a Christmas to remember

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - Jones County Junior College's (JCJC) Fellowship of Christian Athletes is giving back to the community.

The 6th annual FCA Christmas Party will enable 105 kids Wednesday to understand the true meaning of Christmas.

The FCA also gave Christmas presents to each and every kid.

FCA director, Justin Graves said, "What makes our party unique is for the last six years, months leading up to tonight, we get the names and information of local under privilege children in Jones County. So, we go to counselors and ask for the kids who without help, won't have a Christmas. And we get teams to adopt them. So, our Christmas Party is FCA Christmas Party. But, really, it's to honor those kids who we've adopted."

"It makes me feel humble because just to see their faces when they open it. We had a kid last year ask us if he could keep the presents and everything. It was just a really neat thing to see and experience," said JCJC student, Katlyn Mosely.

Graves said many people from teams and businesses around the Jones County community helped pay for the Christmas gifts.
