Rowan Elementary principal recognized as Admin. of the Year

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Rowan Elementary Principal, Donna Scott was recognized as Hattiesburg Public School District's Administrative of the Year for 2016.

This is Scott's second time winning this award and officials said she works hard everyday for the students.

Scott said she had no idea she would win the award again. “Each year we nominate, an administrative for Administrative of the Year, but of course I had no idea that I would be selected, as Administrative for the School Year, so it is a surprise.”

The district said 1 out of 10 Admins are eligible each year. The award is based on criteria like school scores and peer evaluations.

Before her position at Rowan Elementary, Scott also worked at Hawkins Elementary.
