LAUREL, Miss. - An armed robbery happened Sunday at Roses Department Store.
Laurel Police Officer, Cpt. Tommy Cox said, "Two male subjects entered. At least one of them was armed with a handgun, and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the store. About an hour later, our patrol shift, along with Sergeant Michael Reaves apprehended the two suspects at an apartment actually not far from the department store."
Police said they arrested Christopher Luker, 26, and James Parker, 16. Both are charged with one count of armed robbery. Parker is also charged as an adult.
"Luckily, all of the money was recovered. Any property that was taken was recovered. They're both in jail and the handgun is seized. So, if anything can be good coming out of an armed robbery, it was a good conclusion to it, and it was taken care of fairly quickly," said Cox.

Luker's bond was set at $50,000 and Parker's was set at $20,000.
