Jones county woman charged with assaulting deputies

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - This is a press release from Jones County Sheriff's Department.

On December 19, 2016, Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies did a residence check at a home on Main Street in Sandersville. While they were in the home, Jeremy Young, 27 of Laurel, ran out of the front door. Trinity McCraw, 21 if Laurel, was running behind him when met by Jones County authorities.

McCraw started fighting with two authorities, but was taken into custody after a short scuffle.

When McCraw was taken outside she tried to run behind the home and began fighting once again, in which one authority figure was slightly injured, not requiring medical attention.

The incident was once again taken under control and McCraw was transported to the Jones County Adult Detention Center.

She is charged with two counts of Simple Assault on a Policeman.

Young is being sought for questioning by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.

McCraw's bond was set at $20,000.
