BREAKING: Missing Petal found dead on Old Highway 98
According to Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem James Slay Vidrine was found in a wooded area off of Old Highway 98 near W. L. Runnels Industrial Road in Hattiesburg.
Vidrine was last seen driving a 1984 Buick Electra with vinyl top removed and painted dark brown in October. His wife, Carita Vidrine told FOX 23, "The car was with him."
Klem said the cause of death is not being released at this time, but no foul play is suspected.
Carita released a statement Monday morning:
"The family and I appreciate the overwhelming support and prayers that we have received from the community. We are so thankful to our God that he blessed us with finding Slay. We want to thank law enforcement and the coroners offices for all there professionalism and help."
In October Carita said it was unlike her husband to not communicate about his whereabouts. “Yes it is very unusual and even more unusual is for him to miss work, he never misses work" said Carita.
The family told FOX 23 news at this time they are making funeral arrangements.
