Hattiesburg hosts 1st annual MS Prospects, football games

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Lake Terrace Convention Center is packed with more than 400 motivated football players from across the state.

Boys and girls traveled to Hattiesburg for Mississippi Prospects first annual inaugural games. The organization said it wants to teach 3rd thru 8th graders proper football techniques and sportsmanship out on the field.

The participants will train and practice the next days at Southern Miss and get to play football with other kids from different regions.

Mississippi Prospects Director Eli Ouder said, " “Not only is this the future, of Mississippi youth football, but this is also the future of Mississippi."

"We want to bring these families together, and develop these young men, because they are going to be the ones, who eventually are going to be the men of the state" Ouder said.

Ouder hopes the training will create more NFL stars from Mississippi.
