The Thirsty Hippo is set for its New Year's Eve Party

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - One local restaurant & bar will have its 15th annual New Year’s Eve party Saturday.

The Thirsty Hippo will have its food ready for people and will also have a live band called "Friends Fly South" perform a special tribute to "Parliament."

Owner, Brad Newton said, "It's been a strange and somewhat difficult year for some people. So, the music of ‘Parliament,’ it feels great. It's fun music. It's music to dance to and forget about any kind of troubles."

Newton said they will hand out free champagne for the countdown.
