HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department had its annual G.R.E.A.T. graduation ceremony Friday.

This program is designed to help teach kids about drugs and gang resistance.

Hundreds of fifth graders from the Hattiesburg Public School District participated in this program for five weeks.

League G.R.E.A.T. Officer, Lt. Allen Murray said, "Right now, all the skills that they're learning, especially when it comes to decision making, they can use it for the rest of their lives to make sure that they make the most healthy and positive decisions to carry on throughout life. They learned how to effectively communicate, learned about bullying, learned about self-control, and also how to be a great citizen."

Over 300 kids graduated from the program.
