Crown Health Care Laundry Services Expanding in Columbia, Creating 50 New Jobs
COLUMBIA, Miss. - The following is a press release from Governor Phil Bryant's office.
Crown Health Care Laundry Services is expanding in Columbia, Miss., investing $800,000 and creating 50 new jobs.
“I am pleased Crown Health Care has chosen to expand and create so many new jobs for the residents of Marion County. I wish the company many more successful years in Columbia,” Gov. Phil Bryant said.
Crown Health Care announced in April 2013 the company was locating health care laundry processing operations in the Marion County Industrial Building in Columbia. The announcement marked a $12 million investment and the initial creation of 150 jobs. Crown Health Care currently employs 200 at its Columbia location.
“Crown is very excited about our expansion and bringing 50 additional employment opportunities to Columbia and the state of Mississippi. Gov. Bryant and the Mississippi Development Authority, along with the Marion County Development Authority, have been very helpful and supportive of Crown since the day we decided to locate to Columbia,” said Crown Health Care Founder and CEO Don Haferkamp.
The Mississippi Development Authority provided grant assistance for equipment installation.

Crown Health Care expects to fill the 50 new positions over the next three years.
