Victim identified in Hattiesburg church bus accident

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - One person is dead in an accident involving a church bus Sunday morning on the intersection of Lake Forgetful and U.S. Highway 98.

Lamar County Coroner Cody Creel identified the victim as Allen Humphrey, 57, of Hattiesburg.

Authorities said Humphrey was driving an SUV and rear ended the church bus. Creel said Humphrey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lieutenant (Lt.) Jon Traxler with the Hattiesburg Police Department said, "There were no other injuries reported on the bus." Creel said a toxicology report will be sent to Jackson.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation according to Lt. Traxler.
