HPD investigating Salvation Army burglary
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department is investigating a break-in at the Hattiesburg Salvation Army Thrift Store Wednesday night.
Store Operation Manager, LaTosha Owens said a suspect pried open the store door and took $1,000 worth of purses, jewelry, and electronics.
“At the end of the day there are people that we won’t be able to provide, meals, shelter, we wont be able to provide, and other services, because of a lack of revenue" said Owens.
Owens continued, "...because of the revenue that was stolen, that is turned into money, which we could use to serve the community.”
The Christian-based organization said they are praying for the suspect.
