Local emergency first responders receive free food for helping tornado victims

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Local emergency responders were at the Hattiesburg Fire Department located on North Main Street Wednesday enjoying some good food.

Mack's West cooked food for the men and women who have been working hard over the last few days.

Organizer, John Adcock said, "We just wanted to come out here and honor the first responders. Obviously when a tragedy like this strikes that happened in Hattiesburg and the City of Petal, I think everybody has got to find ways to pitch in. So, we decided to come out here and join up with Mack's West and feed the first responders some catfish today. They give so much to us on a daily basis. The people in the communities that they serve. They do so much that goes completely unnoticed. And, we wanted to honor them and show them the respect they've earned from us."
