Petal man behind bars after stabbing victim, stable condition
PERRY COUNTY, Miss. - A Petal man is behind bars after stabbing a person in Perry county.
According to Perry county authorities Leslie Keith Ward, 49, is charged with aggravated assault.
Sheriff Mitch Nobles said deputies responded to Walter Myers Road Tuesday morning and upon arrival the victim was transported to Forrest General Hospital.
"The victim under went surgery and is in stable condition" said Sheriff Nobles.
The case is still under investigation.
